Riders of the Buffalo Nations - documentary (in post production)

directed by Doug Hancock

Riders of the Buffalo Nations explores and celebrates contemporary First Nation youth culture. Using rodeo as a metaphor for struggle, the imagery breaks with western cultural stereotypes by focusing on the relationships and moments that demonstrate how traditional First Nation culture has adapted and evolved to survive and thrive in the harshest of circumstances and environments.

The Adopted - (in production)

directed by Rob O’Brien

DirecThousands of American soldiers died liberating the Netherlands from Nazi Germany. The locals never forgot them.

The river Man - documentary short

directed by Richard Gorodecky

Connie Corcoran has dedicated his life to the mighty Blackwater river and, over the years, its currents have shaped him. He is one of Ireland's great salmon fishing guides, but if the salmon numbers continue to decline, he may be one of its last. The River Man is a fated love story between a man and a river.

Robert Mims the Texan bull rider - documentary

directed by Doug Hancock

“Three-times senior world champion bull rider, Robert Mims introduces British filmmaker Doug Hancock to the close-knit world of a traditional rodeo community. This lyrical portrait of the rituals and rhythms that underpin the cowboy way of life was shot on location amid the dry heat and picturesque landscapes of Texas, New Mexico and Utah, setting the scene for an exhilarating picture of a traditional sport that, in 2018, is still finding ways to keep up with the times.” Nowness

Ivan Waters and the citadel -“Keep the asper, keep the aspidistra flying”

“Thanks to Sammy, Lola and Timmy all the ducks were laid out. We had a country house, an old pub, a retired football hooligan who kept repeating ‘he was shitting himself’, a drinking horse and trainer, a Scotsman, a Viking, a love-struck gardener and a strongman pushing a car with two ladies up a hill in Basingstoke.

What could possibly go wrong?

Fortunately having left the plant on set, she was rescued and placed on the Christmas table with a pair of Ivan’s slippers.”
